Surprise gay marriage proposal comes with an epic flash mob

It all started when a man in the US named Dustin Reeser thought he was helping his roommate pick out lighting for a party, at popular home improvement and construction store Home Depot.

What happened next has possibly become the most memorable time of his life, witnessed by nearly 6 million viewers worldwide.

The moment was recorded and posted on YouTube on 11 September, and it features Reeser standing in front a flash mob, which consisted of 30 close friends in colourful sports gear. They were then joined by his family members.

The energetic flash mob, dancing to the background tune of “Somebody Loves You” by Betty Who, led to the marriage proposal by his then boyfriend Spencer Stout. Stout, who appeared at the end of the video, in a smart suit breaks into a dance before flashing the ring and popping the question at about minute 3:50 of the video.

Reeser, who was obviously touched by the elaborate romantic proposal, said “Yes!”
